Downward Spiral

Apologies to people who’ve come here over the last few weeks to find next to no updates.

Here’s the short story of what’s been going on.

Two weeks ago I came down with a pretty nasty flu. I was totally out of it for a few days. I started feeling better, I went back to work. I tried to get back into my normal schedule of things despite not feeling a 100%.  After a week of this I continued to feel run down and had now gotten a pretty nice cold.

I started waking up in the middle of the night feeling as though my lungs had stopped working (not to exaggerate too much but it was pretty terrifying) and I had to cough and cough to kick start them back up again. After two nights of this I finally went to the doctor to find out, surprise! I have pneumonia.

I’ve been on antibiotics for the last five days and pretty much been doing nothing but resting. I’m starting to feel slightly better. But I’m going to be taking it easy for the next little bit.  Updates will most likely be spotty.

I guess I will have to break out the old “These Pirates Are Making Me Thirsty” book.

Try not to die, dude. Everything else will take care of itself. Also, in future, if you wake up with non-functional lungs, go to the hospital Right The F**K Now.

Yeah, what mgb said. Working lungs are definitely in my top ten “things that keep me alive”. Get well soon.

There are only 2 things to worry about
Either you are well or you are sick.
If you are well then there’s nothing to worry about!
    But if you are sick

There are 2 things to worry about
Either you will get well or you will die
If you get well there is nothing to worry about!
    But if you die

There are 2 things to worry about
Either you will go to heaven or hell
If you go to heaven there is nothing to worry about!
But if you go to hell

You’ll be so busy shaking hands with friends
You won’t have time to worry!

    :)

I’m sure you’ll be fine, mate. I look forward to many more years of hilarious comics.
