Hardly Worth Mentioning

It hardly seems worth mentioning but The Chronicles of A Mordant Orange and A Coconut Named George (Or TCOAMOAACNG for short) the strip that started this all is a year old today. It had a short run lasting only 5 weeks (33 strips in total). I cringe now looking back on it. These strips were some of the first things I'd drawn in 4 years. As you can see I was pretty rusty (not that I was ever that good but I've done better.) Abandoned mostly due the insane pace I was trying to do them (5 comics a week) and a poor setup which was preventing me for producing the quality of product I was happy with I shelved the project. Rather than cutting back the number of strips I decided to try something completely different.

I moved on to what is now called Mordant Singles in attempt to create one off single panel comics which I could potentially sell to magazines. There are now 52 Mordant Single comics since July and I've yet to sell a single one. The is largely due to the fact that I haven't mailed out a single one!! (procrastination or fear of rejection? - a little from column A and a little from column B I guess).

Will TCOAMOAACNG return? Probably at some point but I still need to upgrade my drawing tablet and get my hands on a drafting table before I give it another shot.

Take a trip down memory lane.
