Simpson Leno
I can't stand Leno's mannerisms when he's doing his monologue, it's probably because his jokes are so obvious you can see them coming down the tracks and he's always bracing and pausing for the wave of laughter that never comes.
The Simpsons' Movie is out today.

Taking A Break
Sorry for the lack of comics this week, I decided to take a break. Hopefully I'll have a comic up tonight or tomorrow. You can thank Mr. Wes Anderson and the preview to his new movie The Darjeeling Limited which I saw this morning for giving me the kick in the ass I needed.
No one makes movies like him. In theaters Sept. 29th.

The Death of Harvey Birdman
Forget about Harry Potter, why is no one talking about the death of Harvey Birdman. The final episode of Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law (Season 4) aired yesterday. Also Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, Vol. 3 comes out tomorrow. There's also a pretty decent interview with the show's creators at TV Guide [via Cold Hard Flash].

The Trial of Colonel Sweeto and Other Stories
The Perry Bible Fellowship by Nicholas Gurewitch is one of my favourite comics and he has a book The Perry Bible Fellowship: The Trial of Colonel Sweeto and Other Stories coming out. It's available for pre-order from Amazon. It's not out till October 15th but I'd thought I'd post it anyway. It's being put out by Dark Horse who I'm sure at some point will put up some previews.

Soundwave - MP3
Sure he's not in the movie but it's an absolute no brainer that this is coming out. Soundwave as a MP3 player.
It also happens to be one of the best looking toys for the new Transformers I've seen so far. Probably because they didn't mess with original design too much by remove all the fun by turning him into some brittle jaggy toy you're afraid of breaking. Unfortunately it's $105!! I don't know if I want to meet the spoiled little brat that ends up with one of these.
I had Soundwave when I was a kid, lost him in a corn field along with my swiss army knife, man that was a bad day. I must've looked for 2 weeks for him.

Get Smart
Steve Carell was born to play this role. Also Anne Hathaway as Agent 99 isn't too shabby either.

I haven't done a balloon comic or a scatological comic for a while. Why not combine them both!

Filthy Rodents
I saw this and it made me throw up in my mouth a little.
This poster should read:
"From the super computer who determined you'd love Happy Feet and Jar Jar Binks, comes a group of hip-hopping rodents (insert crazy urban phrase about how badass they are, that makes you cringe) but you just can't help but love"...and from the Director of Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties.
It wasn't immediately apparent but that's Jason Lee (My Name Is Earl) - sans stache as David Seville. Why Earl....why!!!
Not only would I not swerve my car to avoid hitting these rodents, I'd cross the street and jump the curb to mow them down.
I may just avoid all forms of media until this "movie" has passed.

Tattoo
A Comic By Mike Bannon
I'm going to guess there's going to be a few disappointed or confused people who land on this page using Google because I saved this comic as peckertattoo.gif. Hahaha! sorry no penis tattoos here! (I'm sure mentioning penis tattoos...oppps...won't put me any lower in the search rating!). To further clarify, this page contains no penis tattoos photos or penis tattoo related information.

Kwik-E-Mart
Ohhh.... I'd so be there!
A 7-11 is transformed to a Kwik-E-Mart as part of a promotion for The Simpsons Movie coming out July 27th.
Check out this fantastic Flickr set of the Store in Burbank, CA. This Blog is also following all the excellent Kwik-E-Mart action.
Mmmmm...Krusty-O's!
