More Crappy Transformer "Toys"
I might be coming across as a bit of a Transformers geek but I barely qualify as a casual fan. I came across this and thought it was so ridiculous that I had to share it.
A couple weeks ago I posted about the first toys emerging for the new Transformers movie. It was some sort of fiery-comet-motorcycle-thingy or a plastic ball of crap that transformed into a robot. Now we've got Convoy and Megatron Transformers that transform into a half scale Nike running shoe.
That's right kids a plastic shoe that's too small to actually wear. This is ridiculous, a shoe! C'mon who wants to play with a shoe, even poor kids have better toys than this. Ohh the minutes of fun they'll have!
This has me wondering if the movie is going to be a giant commercial moving from one product placement to another. Can't Wait!
I have to admit it does look like a pretty sweet shoe.

The Animation Show 1 & 2 DVD
The Animation Show 3 just started touring last week. It's not going to be heading to my town for a while. It's a good thing that they just released The Animation Show (Vol. 1 & 2 Boxed Set) on DVD so I can kill some time while I wait.
Here's one of my favourites from The Animation Show 2. Fallen Art by Platige Image

Extras & Idiocracy
January is usually a dumping ground for terrible movies in the theaters (see Alpha Dog) but it looks like DVD releases are really picking up the slack.
![]() | Extras - The Complete First Season I think Ricky Gervais is hilarious. Anything he's done always has me rolling around on the floor. The only draw back to this is that the entire season is only 6 episodes long. Oh well we'll take what we can get and love it! |
![]() | Idiocracy I can't believe the treatment this movie got. Try finding a trailer for this movie. Released in a only a handful of theaters Mike Judge's follow up to the cult classic Office Space |

Public Service Announcement - Alpha Dog
As a public service to everyone I would like to ask that everyone please avoid seeing Alpha Dog. Go enjoy 2 hours of your life, do something worthwhile like watching paint dry or sleep.
This movie is an absolute disaster. So poorly written. So poorly acted, way over the top. So poorly directed. I've never wanted to have a remote control where I could hit fast forward as much as in this movie. Specifically the opening credits of old home movie which just seem to go on forever with Somewhere Over the Rainbow playing in the background. This achieves nothing because you don't know any of the characters. It would've worked much better as the closing credits if they were trying to pull at your heart strings.
The other scene which is just absolutely ridiculous is the cut-away scene where Sharon Stone in a fat suit is being interviewed by a documentary film maker, trying her best to win an Oscar. But it comes off more like that scene from The Mask with Jim Carey. It so unbelievably over acted and drawn out that it had me looking anywhere but the screen, it was sheer torture.
And now for the positive. There was 10 seconds of Citizen Cope's Bullet & a Target in the background of one scene. And that's it!

A Plastic Ball of Crap
Here's some more evidence that the new transformers movie is going to be garbage. Look at this toy. Sweet a fiery-comet motor cycle or something. Enjoy kids!

Because Just Swinging a Controller Around Makes You Look Stupid

How awesome is this!
Check out these sweet snap-on accessories for your Wii Remote. I'd love to show up at someones house with a high end briefcase and pull out these puppies all customized.
$22 seems like a fair price.

F Minus

I can't remember where I picked up the link (I remember now Comics Reporter) to this interview but I'm now all over Tony Carrillo's F-Minus. It's a single panel comic distributed by United Features Syndicate at Comics.com
It had some great absurd humour you usually don't find in a newpaper. It's now become part of my daily reading habit.

Hello 2007
2007 seems a little slow coming out of the gates for me. It's probably this cold that I've had since last year (oh man that just gets funnier every time). I'd like to say bigger and better things are on the horizon this year but I haven't sat down and planned anything out yet.
The first comic of 2007 is up, it's a Christmas leftover. Cut me some slack I've been away from the drawing board for a couple weeks so a little rust has set in.
Anyways 2006 is in the can and it was a pretty good year lets hope things just keep moving in the right direction.
