Working From Home

Due to weather conditions I'm working from home today. It's not something I usually do. Most people would relish the opportunity to work from home but I don't.

I like my setup at work far better than at home. I have to work over an internet connection and remotely connect to my desktop at work. This makes all my applications run at about 75% which is really frustrating. I also use all kinds of reference material which I don't have or have to too look up on the internet (I hate reading catalogues on-line.)

Then there's having to deal with everyone at the office the next day who run on the basic assumption of "working from home" = "watching daytime television in your robe and answering the phone if anyone calls". Which I believe to be true of anyone that does work at home because whenever I call them to ask them something I always seem to get an answering machine and a returned call approximately an hour later with some lame excuse.

I don't know if it has to do with my new office setup, or that it's ridiculously cold outside but I am absolutely freezing at my desk. I don't know if it's hunger, survival instinct or that the fridge is 15 feet away but it's only 9:30 and I've already eaten my lunch.

Blogs are funny things...

Someone starts one and all of a sudden they think that everyone cares what their doing every day of their life...

How bout drawing a comic instead of watching The Price is Right... better get ready its coming on soon.

Maybe post important world news like how much the guy wins playin PLINKO.

I don't care what you think.

I would hardly classify this site as a blog. Sure the last few posts have been on a slightly personal nature. But I generally don't put down all kinds of crap that I did on the weekend. And whenever I meet you in person I don't keep asking you what you thought about what I put up on my site.

I only include stuff that I think others would find amusing in attempt to keep people coming back because I can't put out a comic everyday.

I could've done a great post on the Super Bowl commercials but I live in Canada and all we get are the same four commercials over and over for the entire Super Bowl. One of them was half decent this year, the Bell commercial with the beavers (mainly because one of the beavers was voiced by Norm MacDonald). But I went to the their website and it's crap so I didn't bother.

That was a good commercial...

When boss says "Beavers? no we need a canadian Icon, someone like Norm McDonald"... something like that, that was good...

Anyone win both Showcases today?

The US commercials were garbage this year with the exception of 1 where a guy tackles some lady. That's always funny. I saw the game on the US station with US commercials. Most reaked of effort. I am disappointed that I missed the lingerie bowl, maybe next year.
